recantly i have bought five a.cacatuoides "normal" from Italy, hoping to see some quality looking wild speciments, and not that Czech breed stressed low-color double reds...
As in life goes... i got screwed...
Fish that came to my house where greyish, with few orange spots... no green...
Can these two go together in 180L tank, more then medium planted?!?!
I had bad exp on my beginnig with tose two, but now my tank is more planted and my caca's are bigger...

I have moved my breeding pair of apisto nijsseni to a 40l tank(aprox 11G).
Tank decoration was 2 pieces of bogwood, anubias nana, 2 clay pots(one broken), some java moss, and riccia on top!
They have settled very nicely, seenig by their colors...

I have in my Rio180 tank two bulbs(Aqua-Glo and Power-Glo), i have also Glomat2 so i can power-up my light system... what other bulbs do you recommend for best plant grow?!
Is Life-Glo any good in planted aquaria?!?!

I have bought 3 pairs of apisto(trifasciata, nijsseni, agasizzi)
This was a mistake.
My nijsseni has bullyed agassizzi to death.
My pair of trifaciata started to look like 2 males... and i have separated those two.
One day i have been gifted with pair of young...
Well, now i have a breeding pair of nijssenii's, in my 200L show tank, with them i have lots of cory's and pleco's, and also my trifasciata...
Nijsseni' are allways bullying trifasciata, and the poor guy is allways hiding...
What to do??!
Is it better to put nijsseni's in smaller 10G tank...

They are in my show tank, nearly 1 motnh old(tank), so there is not many plants...
Reason why there isn't too many plants is cuz i have raised...

Once has one guy posted similiar pic on other forum and he said it was apistogramma nijssenii... from that day i have tryed to find a.nijssenii and now when i have finnaly succeded, i have found that this is not that apisto...
My nijsseni is still beutifull to me and i didn't regret for...
I have a pair of a.nijssenii, pair is now introduced to ich other in my new 180l tank, and my female has changed her color from extremly yellow with panda spots to pale unidentified ( :lol: ) color... water parameters are OK, and she is swimming with her male happily...
