So has anyone tried Sycamore (Platanus occidentalis) in their tanks? I have a large tree infront of my house, and the branches take on a very pleasing shape... just curious if I should be worried about toxins/etc.

Thanks!

Sycamore leaves shed tiny hairs that can irritate people's sinuses when you inhale them (walking through a stand of sycamore saplings), but I dont think theres anything chemically toxic in them or in sycamore wood. I assume you plan to use old dead branches. I wouldn't use fresh live-cut wood of anything in a fish tank.
