I bougth three A. bitaeniata and I need to return one male but I'm not sure that it is a submissive male
The length is about 5 cm

Check the caudal fin for some kind of pattern of spots/stripes. Males, even at a young age, almost always show some kind of pattern in the caudal fin. I know of only 1 exception - a population from the Río Putumayo that is almost never collected commercially.
