Cockatoo Breeding Parameters?

Hello, what are the best parameters for setting up a Cockatoo "Double Red" breeding tank? (ie. pH,kH,gH,temp) Thanks in advance!
Also, when trying to soften water, is it sufficient to use an RO system as opposed to an RO/DI system? Or is there a cheaper easier alternative to both?

What are your water parameters? They maybe good enough without messing with RO.

Cacs can do real well in a Ph 6.8-7.4,Kh 5-10, temp 75-78.
