Size is little over 1.5" it looks like. It's wild caught so I'm not sure of it's age. Body size wise it definitely looks like a male but I can't see any colors on it. Thanks again. Here are some better pictures.
Thanks for all the replies. Yes, these were definitely taken in Peru. Went there with http://amazon-ecotours.com last year. Highly recommended. Sending a few more pics to help determine it's size. I think it was 5-6'' but not sure.

We caught these Apistos in Iquitos/Peru last summer. After we got back these were shipped to me by mistake so I never knew what they were. A1 is a larger specimen then A2, they almost seem like male/female size wise. But they can be both males. Please let me know if you know what these are...

So I got 2 pairs of apistogramma baenschi around 10 days ago. They have been sitting at the bottom of the tank hiding ever since I put them in. I have kept all kinds of fish and apistos before but never had any fish like this before. I mean I read that some fish being really shy but...
