Anton pointed that that the Tilapia sp. Jewel have recently been ID'd as Tilapia deckert and that the fish I got fromn Joop should now be referred to as T. cf. deckert. The deckerti arrived safely in the U.S. last Thursday, but haven't made the final trip from the Northeast to my place. There will be a few fish to spare if all goes well, but I don't know yet how many and what the cost per fish will be.
The T. cf. deckerti arrived! Unfortunately some died during transit from the Northeast of the U.S. to Nebraska in the cold weather, but I have a pretty good number of survivors. There might be one (or no more than two?) small groups to spare beyond of what I'm keeping for myself, but I'll probably wait with shipping until spring when the temperatures go up. I don't know yet the price tag per fish, but I will not try to make any money off these fish (just recover some of the money I spent on the various legs of shipping).
