I've been importing a nice fish from Peru that is sold as Blue that is in the eunotus complex, Nice looking fish, gets orange fins when fully matured, Not cacs. Ken

I had the "A. sp. Blue" that you have several year ago. It is probably the same fish as the one that Koslowski (2002) lists as A. sp. Tahuayo. In my opinion it is a much prettier eunotus-complex species than the more commonly available A. cf. eunotus Orange-tail/Orangeschwanz.

Cacatuoides "blue"

Several years ago, i was able to purchase a wild form of Cacatuoides thats came in labeled as "blue Cacatuoides" They weren't really very blue in coloration but as a wild Cacatuoides, they lacked the yellow color that is present in most of the wild forms coming in of Cacatuoides. this form was more brown and plain, and did have a blueish tint to them in the right light. I was able to reproduce them in good numbers and had no problems at that time in moving them. Seemed ppl really enjoyed the fish. My only regrets, as with many fish i work with, is that i didnt have enough tank space in my fishroom to maintain this color form. The fish i had were definetely not a Eunotus type fish, but were cacatuoides.

I will have to post some pics, the ones I purchased certainly do look like cacas. They are still quite small and as you said they are a plain old brown. Although the male is developing some fin coloration. Thanks for your info.
