Hi all. Just wondering if anyone has experimented with having more than one species of apistogramma in one tank. Would they still pair off with like species, or is the chance of hybridization too high?

Closely related species might hybridize, but only if there is no specimen of the opposite sex available. The main problem is separating juveniles of one species from another. All depends on the size and lay-out of the tank how successful it is.
