Hi, I've been interested in Apisto's for a few years now, but have been unable to find any in my area. I've seen them a couple times in fish stores, but they didn't look very healthy and were small (abt.1/2") and labeled "Assorted Apistogramma's". Had they looked healthier, It might have been interesting to have seen what they grew into.
I've asked around but no one has been able to direct me to anyone in my area that breeds any Apistos. I live in Burlington, Vermont which is near Plattsburg, in upstate New York and not far from the Quebec border. Can anyone hook me up with any breeders or clubs in this area?
There are three species I'm most interested in for starters.
A. Agassizi
A. Cacatoides
A. Ornatipinnis
Thank you in advance for any advice or guidance.
Michael
