I've got A. iniridae and I've seen all stages of it's development from a fry to an adult. They are a little bit different from those wich had been given on the pictures. I have four fishes of this kind , which had beed delived from Brasil (as I was told in the shop) .
Can it be a color variation of A. iniridae?
But I couldn't find anything like that in any book.
I, too, have never seen a female A. iniridae quite like it. It shows no abdominal markings, other than a few rows of slightly darkened scales. It is not likely to be A. iniridae if it came from Brazil. A. iniridae is known only from Colombia. It could be A. uaupesi or even A. sp. Içana (a uaupesi-like species that develops a lyre or spade shaped tail - like that of A. elizabethae). These 2 iniridae-group species originate in Brazil.
