My pair of bitaeniata just laid eggs this afternoon. How many days from now will I need food for the fry? I've actually raised several species of apistogramma before, but I've never kept track of the number of days it takes for the eggs to hatch and for the fry to become free swimming. Most of the time, I don't even know what day the eggs were laid. I'll be in and out of town the next 2 weeks and want to anticipate when I will need some food.
On a separate note, I just recently got that pair to accept New Life Spectrum pellets (it took a lot of patience), and I have never had eggs with such a nice red color!
