Just thought I'd post up a quick note to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Dave and I am a fishkeeper in Michigan. I have kept fish for 20 years, mostly African lake cichlids. About 10 years ago I got out of it, then close to two years ago I decided to get back into it. Now I keep and breed mostly L-number catfish and Corydoras species. I also have 2 pr. of N. parilus-one of which is going crazy producing babies! I also have 2 pr. of N. transvestitus-one of which has produced eggs multiple times but so far no fry. I think the water may not be soft enough for the eggs, but I am working on it. I have been 'lurking' on here for some time and it just seemed like the time was right to join. I see there are many new species of westies available right now so I am assuming that west african cichlids are a seasonal item? Looking forward to learning a lot here.

Welcome to the forum! I'm in Northern Indiana, and come spring I might have some P. Taeniatus fry to trade for some N. Parilus fry. :) Glad to see you joined up.
