Geographical Apisto distrubtion

Hello fellow aquarists

Just thought i would say hi, and also seek some guidance.
Ive had an idea to build a detailed digital map that shows the geographical distrubtion of apistogramma throughout south america with all the different collection dates, times, water readings for each individual apisto. Im also trying to track down as many scientific illustrations of apistogramma's as i can, and any ichthyology publications or taxa publications dealing with apistogramma.

Ive been searching for the last couple of days trying to find as much information as i can and only been able to find breeding information.
Anyone able to recommend any places to look for?

This is the start of a pretty intense hobby research project, and guidence would be quite helpfull.

There are tons of sources. The trick is tracking them down. Unless you have an excellent reference library that can get you the sicentific literature, and a good source of hobby magazines - especially the German ones, then you will have a real problems. I've been collecting such data for over 20 years & still have references that I would rally like to have.
