Hi and happy new year all!
Sorry for the long story but...Since this RO-thing is pretty new to me Im a bit confused now. Earlier we had nasty high EC, depend on tank 650-850uS (before WC). After starting collect rainwater and use RO ECs have come slowly down in all five tanks, of course, we are now at 100 (whoops, nano... a bit to low now)-400 (the last one is a PIMass... heavily stocked...). Earlier EC went up 100-150uS/week, then 50% WCs with tapwater of 400uS. Well...now the problem is that EC wont go up more than 20-50uS/week. I have made some rearrangements with veggie filtration and my hydroculture etc wich might explain the result or is it just thanks to rainwater/RO? As we have extremely expensive municipal water, Id like to save RO-water as much I can, 50%WCs with just RO-water are out of question but for example 50/50 ro-tap are totally OK. Does my water get dirty or not since EC wont rise as earlier? Would it better to use just RO-water but less or 50/50 ro-tap (=200uS) but make a bigger WC wich is my plan A? And oh, I use fertz what explains partly the rise of EC. I have to add KNO3 since there has never been it enough for plants but no added PO4 now.
