@Larry Rogers Right now I'm using small tinted glass bottles. Dont know if they get too small for a fully grown female, but they seem to fit them for now. And there are a few alternatives in the tank.

The top of the tank have grown in a bit, and although I'm compromising with the biotope aspect, I have put in what I believe to be a Muehlenbeckia, which seem to be doing well and filling in the space between the other plants.

Out of, as far as I can tell, seven fry in all, one of them has turned out to be a male.

I'm a bit concerned about inbreeding at this point, since the last spawn was parent x offspring, and the one before was sibling x sibling. So, I might try and see if I can catch him, along with a few females, and replace them with a new male.
I see one problem of note. Your male is small in picture. Alpha males that I have worked with have been three times as large as females. Alphas tend to be more territorial and less likely to breed with their young. This is not an iron clad rule but it has always worked better for me. I have also had less trouble with alphas killing potential mates. Insecurity in subordinate males often spells disaster.

His father is the alpha of the tank. Since getting rid of that specific male, I have not had any problems with males being overly aggressive towards females. I think he was just an outlier in regard to that personality trait.
