Has anyone got a clue what this could be?

Never heard of it. It could be a "new new" fish or a "new new" name for an "old old" form. Peruvian exporters are good at this.

Apistos are always given different names by different traders ~.~

A sp. Haway <-- never heard.

APISTOGRAMA DIAMOND <-- it is the nickname of strawberry,
A. Eremnopyge, ...which is a name widely used in Taiwan's
market.

APISTOGRAMA PURUTU <--- it could be A. Bitaeniata from Rio Purutu.

The fish on the photo doesn't look like A.rupununi to me,...
My first impression when I saw the photo was A. sp "Schwarzkinn"

The shipment is from Peru, when I am not mistaken. Rot Punkt is Colombia.

I am sure blueblue is correct. These are names used by the Panduros'. They also shipped fish called "A. sp. Rot(t)erpunkt/Redder-spots" which turned out to be A. sp. Schwarzbrust/Black-breast. Depending on the color form, it can be a very pretty little fish.

I agree with cageman; it definitely is not A. rupununi. It actually looks like a young male A. sp. Cruzeiro/Juruá/Juruá Emerald, but I cannot be absolutely certain.

The more I look at the photo of the "A. rupununi" (http://aquavisie.retry.org/Database/..._rupununi.html), the more I have to agree with cageman. It does look like A. sp. Schwarzkinn/Black-chin, but it has no caudal pattern that I can see. Very strange.

Yes, i have the same feeling as Cageman and Mike, too.
Despite its weird look, it should be A. sp. Schwarzkinn, and it has a
caudal spot...
