I am new to this forum and am wondering if I could put german blue rams with Apistogramma cockatoo.
im sorry 55 gal and planted with sand and nutrient-rich substrate under that like aqua soilReally not enough information: tank size, decor, temperature? All will influence the decision. FWIW Rams do occur with some apisto species in the wild.
I'm sorry the tank would be a 55 gallon with a rich nutrient substrate like aquasoil mixed in with sand and the tank would be planted with driftwood and river stonesReally not enough information: tank size, decor, temperature? ok thnk youIt probably will be fine. Just realize that Rams require a much higher temperature (~82°F/31°C) than A. cacatuoides (~76°F/24°C). At temperatures best for Rams, cocatoos age quickly. At temperatures best for cacatuoides, Rams are more prone to diseases. This is one reason many hobbyists have problems keeping Rams. They keep them at too low of a temperature.
