"Rio Parana" encompasses a HUGE amount of territory & the local color variations therein would no doubt be legion! That said, I would love to acquire a 'start' of that particular form.. Of course, I am still looking for some true Curviceps as well..

G'day guys,

RAF My pair have bred numerous times. They turn almost solid black with no red or purple colouration at all. Unfortunately the fry get picked off by the tetras and pencilfish before they are two weeks old.

Stephan I am very jealous of your Laetacara collection. That is my dream. Unfortunately Australia has very strict import laws regarding fish and only curviceps and dorsigera are allowed into the country. It's even harder to find LFS who are willing to go to the trouble to import fish from Europe. My dorsigera pair were part of a small shipment that was split between 3 LFS here. There were only two females amongst the 30 odd fish, and my pair had already bonded and spawned in the LFS tank when I saw them. Naturally I bought them straight away.

viejo I have a breeding pair of curviceps. There are pics of them in the link below.

I am very new to Laetacara and am only a begginer when it comes to keeping cichlids. I have started a Laetacara Thread over at Cichlid Forum. Everyone on there is pretty new to Laetacara, so we would appreciate some input from some much more experienced keepers. Stephan some of your pics would surely interest others in keeping these awesome liitle cichlids.

Peter
