information on lago tefe/rio tefe

i want some information for rio tefe. Does anyone know the substrate of Tefe river bed. i never seen anyone keeping Ap bitaeniata tefe in a sandy bottom tank. however, i really want to know if tefe's river bed is covered with fine sand or just mud. Pictures are appreciated.

The rivers of the Amazon Basin - at least the parts away from the basin's margins - are covered by a varying thickness of fine-grained silica sand. I would be shocked to learn that the lower Rio Tefé isn't the same.

since Tefe is the very famous among Asian hobbiests, we all would like to know what kind of substrates are in there. fine sand? bright color or black sand? mud? peat? or just thick layers of dead leaves?
