Right now i have a 20 gallon high all planted but with no fish! i want to keep some apistos in there. i really REALLY want to do it right this time because i have a tendancy to kill these little guys. i dont know what i did wrong in the past, it really frustrated me and i felt guilty for the fish at the same time. cacatoides, agassizi and M filamentosa all died by my hands. this caused me to ban myself from apistos. My rams spawned for me every month like clockwork so i assume they are hardier fish. they're definitely more boisterous and agressive. right now the pair that i have are very energetic and like to chase eachother and the neon tetras they're house with around the tank. Its really fun to watch. then I look over to my fishless 20 gallon and start to think... i want to try apistos again. they're beautiful and challenging and i think maybe with some help from some experts i can succeed!
