hey guys. i picked a pair of apistogramma labelled eunotus/sp orange tail. i have read that these apistos can have a very varied colouration so i assumed they had bin selectively bred to get the strong colouration on the male. either way i am happy with them and i really do like them. just wanted to see what they actually are.. it looks more like a cacatoid orange flash. after i begun reading up on the eunotus to get some good knowledge on them i noticed that they dont appear to have a lyrate tail or a spiky dorsal fin. this apistogramma does so im guessing its not eunotus. ill put up as many decent photos as i could get the other night and if you guys could get me an id that would be awesome. i am also wondering if he is an orange flash cacatoide would he be considered low in quality due to some of his tail being colourless or does that not matter too much? thanks in advance. i only ask that last question because i plan on breeding them and if he is considered a lower quality orange flash i would consider getting another male and puting him in my display.
