    Apisto ID please :))

I'm aware. When I have nothing better to do I go read all the previous ID posts and have seen you point that out many times. :) I do see some subtle differences in the 2 I have. The new one is much prettier haha. Although my first one is a bit younger and smaller so he could grow into it. Its...

    Apisto ID please :))

Hooray I was right! Thanks for clarifying guys :) I was pretty positive he was not a Cacatuoides like he was labeled but I wanted the bugger anyway. I just got lucky in guessing it was Eunotus because it looked similar to my younger wild one I picked up a while back. Thanks again :)

    Apisto ID please :))

Just picked this guy up today and just need a little help on his ID. He was labeled as a wild Cacatuoides but he sure looks more like my other wild apisto that we guessed was Eunotus rather than my wild Cacatuoides I have already. Any input would be much appreciated :)

    Wangenflecken?

Well shucks. It was worth a shot. Thanks for your input Mike :) Unfortunately I know nothing else about the fish. I think I'll stick with named species from now on like the Borelli's I got in the tank next to it rather than a grab bag of "wild apistos". It drives me nuts not knowing what type of...

    Wangenflecken?

All I know of this apisto is it is wild caught. I do not know the area in which it came from. It has almost doubled in size since I got it and I was hoping I am closer to identifying it. I apologise the pictures are not the best but I tried to get shots of distinguishing features. I'm still a...

What kind of Apisto are these?

Wow I hadn't even looked at the atahualpa when I was researching the heck out of that one. He/she is quite the active little bugger when I'm near the tank so it was really difficult to get a somewhat non blur pick. I actually snagged two of those baby borelli's but at their age they both look...

What kind of Apisto are these?

Thanks for your response! I assumed they were a little young to accurately identify but it was worth a shot. This is my first time owning fish that I do not know exactly what they are when I buy them. It is a lot of fun researching and studying the fish and you have given me a general idea of...

What kind of Apisto are these?

Hi All, first time poster here. I just recently ventured into dwarf cichlid keeping and man is it fun! I picked up a couple of apistogrammas in the last few weeks and would love some help identifying them please and thank you :) The 1st and 3rd were sold as just "wild apisto". The 2nd one is...
