What is TDS?

Wish all have a good day ^^;

I am trying to keep my Api well and studying.
What is TDS? Do I have to care of this to keep api well?

I look up TDS. TDS means "Total Dissolved Solid"
But It is related to breeding Api?


Recently I purchased Ap. Miua and Pulchra..
But I can not discern bewteen female and male because they are so
young..

Anybody show the picture of Pulchra male?

total dissolved solids is what a hydrometer reads. The higher the TDS the higher the density or specific gravity of the water sample.

TDS can be comprised of GH, KH, Iron and other traces. Sodium salts, potassium salts etc.

TDS does not include gas compounds like nitrogen, oxygen and carbon dioxide
