-1 pr. of sp. "red-dot" (many, many fry, breed every 2 wks.)

-1 pr. agassizi DR (spawn but no fry)

-1 pr. cacatuoides (just picked these up)
-6 macmasteri complex (just picked these up as well, we will see what they are)

What are the water parameters for most of the Apistos that you keep? R/O, tap and/or a mix? Looks like you've got a good selection going there. Keep it up!

ive only started keeping apistos 3 weeks ago!

ive been a discus enthusiast for many years now and have appriecated the apisto world since i was 10 but i have never kept any serious pairs, but over the last 6 weeks i have been setting up 4 small 10-15 gal aquariums for these beautys!.
having done much research on the apisto genre i have gone for a mixed bag of apistos to give me many angles of challenges, the list of apistos is small but in three weeks ive not done bad! although i am creating more space for more tanks to enable me to broaden my horizon as there is still many more apistos that i want:
my apsito list

A.Elizabethea x pair
A.cacatoiuds x pair
A.Macmasteri x trio(1male 2 female)
A.sp.Inka50 x trio(1 male 2 female)

1 of these pairs have bred and these are the inkas and currently have eggs. the other pairs are mearly courting but its nice to have all pairs courting!!
the wanted list to complete my apisto dream are:

A.sp.Fresa(which fingers crossed will be here SOON)
A.Bitaeniata
A.Hoignei
A.panduro
A.sp.Breitbinden

it is a bit cheeky but if any1 knows of good quality pairs of these fish please let me know.

also any help on breeding of Elizabethea is greatfully recieved.

Hi,
Here's what I currently have:
6 small adult trifascatia in a 10 gallon
1 pr. cacatuoides triple red in a 20 gallon long
1 pr. cacatuoides orange flash in a 10 gallon
1 trio viejita in a 38 gallon
1 pr. viejita in a 30 gallon long
1 trio borellii in a 20 gallon high
1 pr. borellii in a 10 gallon
14 juvie cacatuoides orange flash in a 10 gallon
30+ borellii fry in a 30 gallon long

All my tanks have at least 2 Java Moss covered coconut shell caves, driftwood, Java Ferns attached to the coconut shells & driftwood, oak leaves and hornwort. A few tanks have Amazon swords. Tank mates are Oto cats, cardinals, marbled hatchetfish, beckfordi pencilfish, and mollies.

I also have a 55 gallon, 30 gallon long, 20 gallon long that I'll be setting up soon. Perhaps even this weekend. The 55 gallon will be for the borellii fry presently in the 30 long. The two 30 gallon longs & 20 gallon long will be for new apistos I plan to get in 4 to 6 weeks. At that time, I plan to sell my pr. of viejita presently in a 30 gallon long. Also if all goes well I hope to purchase 2 more 30 gallon longs next pay day. This would give me five 30 gallon longs & one 20 gallon long for my next batch of apistos.

My apisto pick list for my order next month (all wild caught):
6 papagae
6 agassizii "Rio Tigre"
6 bitaeniata "Curutu"
6 pandurini
6 nijsseni "Requena"
4 maul-bruter
also 4 wc cacatuoides "Putumayo" for a 10 gallon to breed with my OF & TR

After that I think I can only squeeze in a couple more 20 gallon longs in the future!

Most of them are in RO/DI water, and some have an extra piece of bogwood in there to color up the water a bit.

Breeding A. elizabethae is not wery difficult. My breed in normal tap water but the eggs did not hatch. PH(ca 5) and DH(less then one) ned no be very low. The problem I had was that they got some sort of skin parasites, and they died short after(every time I had them).

Where I am its really hard to obtain female elizabethae. Any help to obtain some is appreciated.
