Viejita / Macmasteri

Hi,
I understand that almost all A. Viejita are actually Macmasteri, probably including the one I have which was sold as a Viejita in the picture.
My question is, does this mean its actually the same as something commonly called a Macmasteri? Or is it a different breed of Macmasteri? In other words if I want to find a mate for him can I just get a macmasteri or should I look for a special breed of macmasteri that is sold as Viejita?

It is a domestic strain of A. macmasteri developed from the wild Red-shoulder/Rotrücken macmasteri. If you want a female that will produce similar looking offspring like the above male, then buy from a source where you can see both sexes. If the males are similar to the above then they are a similar strain. If not ... well. They will still give you offspring. Otherwise buy females of commercial inexpensive "viejita" (the real viejita are still much more expensive). 9 time out of 10 you will get a domestic strain of macmasteri.
