My A. Cac. layed eggs yesterday. Not bright pink??? This is their first spawn since I got them so, if they survive I am wondering if they follow ram eggs for hatching ie 48 hours or so to wigglers, then 5 days till free swimmers who will need bbs.

Thanks

I think it is usually about 8 days from laying to free swimming.

Hang in there Nightowl. My rams are on 48 hour eggs now! So, hopefully, soon, they'll hatch out before they become dinner to their parents. I've been feeding them regularly (and a bit extra) to keep them from eating their young out of hunger. Here is a good write up on ramirezi I've found by surfing. Will give you a good idea on timelines...............
