new to sa dwarfs...

if you had an empty 90 gallon whAT sa dwarf set up would you have??? my past experiences are with africans(tangs and malawi) and larger SA/CA>> Oscar,Dempsey and Gold Sev in 90 gallon...africans r in 25 and 30 gallon... looking for ideas thanks

This is a hard question to answer because there are so many options! Do you want a community tank, an aquatic garden, or a breeding tank?

i guess if I knew what I wanted I wouldnt have asked the question..I should have asked the question differently....If someone gave you a ready to go fully equipped 90 gallon tank what would be YOUR favorite SA Dwarf set-up??

In that case, I would set up a community aquarium with a fine white sand bottom, lots of wood, & some rocky caves. It would have some floating plants (Pistia, Salvinia, and/or Ceratopteris) & some low light bottom plants like Java Moss, Java Fern, & Anubias. For fish, I would have 15-20 specimens of 2 or 3 species of schooling tetras, 10 - 20 pencilfishes of various species, 2 schools of different cory catfish species (10 specimens each), & 4 - 6 different Apistogramma specimens of the more colorful forms - and no females. Breeding cichlids - even small cichlids - can disrupt the harmony of a small species community tank.
