I am most interested in seeing your "A. alacrina". I did not know that this species was in the aquarium hobby. Every recent photo that I have seen misidentify A. sp. Rotpunk for the true A. alacrina.

when i look on the cichlid room companion and i look my fishes, i've got apisto alacrina and no sp rot punkt!!!

The photo of A. alacrina in the Cichlid Room Companion, in my opinion, is a typical A. sp. Rotpunkt. As coordinator for the SA dwarf cichlids, I haven't gotten around to changing it.

When I looked at your photos, I was very pleasantly surprised. Yes, they do appear to be A. alacrina(!) - the paratype form, from the Río Caquetá system. Happy to see it in the hobby.

Are the sides of the fish really that blue, or is it due to the lighting? Now how do I get some of these to the USA

I really like your aquascaping job. It jogged my memory to be sure to get some
more Heteranthera zosterfolia, Brazilian Star grass. I lost mine over time and had forgotten how much I liked it. It is one of those I have to order direct from nurseries because it's never sold at the LFS.
