Hi All,
a friend of my just returned from his expedition. He found a interesting fish, which we hardly can identify. The fish has been collected on a expedition from Ernst van Genne/ Johan Egberts and located around 13 km away from letitia.
Can someone help me on identifying this species? Is it just a Cacatuoides, or maby a juruensis or something?

It is probably A. cacatuoides. It looks like what TomC, Julio Melgar and I collected in this location. It almost looks like it has a separate caudal spot, but this is often seen on some A. cacatuoides, where the lateral band thins and quickly swell on the caudal peduncle.

thx Mike, it is a nice fish that's for sure! I am curious how the fish does look like in a tank.. First of all we need to see what kind of fish survived the trip...
