Hi All
I am new to fishkeeping and have a 200l community tank set up since February. I have a pair of German Blue Rams which are fantastic, love the colours, had one spawn so far although not intentionally trying to breed them. I would like to add another couple of dwarf chichlids but am at a loss as to what would be suitable. I don't want to introduce any problems and hoping for some advice/suggestions.
My current stocking is as follows:

6 Julli Corys
8 Dwarf Neon Rainbows
7 Harlequin Rasboras
1 Dwarf Gourami (Had 3 males but gad to take 2 back to shop as didn't get on, although LFS thought they should be ok) don't want to make same mistake
2 German Blue Rams
1 Flash Pleco

I was thinking about a pair of Golden Rams, but don't know if they would get along.

Thanks

Gold Rams and Blue Rams are color morphs of the same species (M. ramirezi). Your tank will probably be large enough to keep 4 Rams peacefully if you add more structure (plants, rocks, etc.) to form distinct territorial boundaries.

thanks for the reply, I was also looking at a pair of krebensis, would they be suitable. My concern is their aggression when they are breeding and also if I only get two what is the chances that they would pair up.

If you're interested in keeping Kribensis they are great! We keep our pair in a community tank with rainbows, mollies, and even a couple guppies. Although I don't suggest guppies, one of them has been eaten. The other two guppies have survived over a month now with the Krib pair. I love the German Blue Rams thought ... great choice!
