Hi apistologists,
My name is Frédéric, I'm 39, married and I have a daughter (10) and a son (7). I am a micropaleontologist working at the University of Lyon (FR) on marine calcareous plankton (paleo)diversity and (paleo)biogeography.
I am facinated by the dwarf cichlids, especially Apistogramma species from western Amazonia. At home, I currently have 4 tanks (60 to 180 l) with wild pairs of A. nijsseni, A. baenschi and fry of both taxa. I'm here to share about tank fishes and I would like to better know about taxonomy in Apistogramma and natural biotopes. Because of my work, I am also particularly interested to learn about biogeography and modalities of speciation in dwarf cichlids.
Cheers,
Frédéric
