Fishy Photography Help needed

I am watching my two Apis. viejita go through the motions of apparent spawning and I don't have my camera! ARGH!!!!

So. The question I put up to all of you is:

"How do you take the best pictures of your fish?"

I have in my possession a digital camera of the "snapshot" type - meaning I have no control over aperture, f-stop, focus, flash angle, etc. I have access to better, fancier stuff if I plan ahead.

i can't take a pic to save my life, but here are a few tips to taking nice photos. you don't want my advice... get someone else to take them!! i am the MOST useless person with a camera.
