I know it's not a dwarf, but I have a green terror that is laying eggs right now on a piece of driftwood and there's no male in the tank. I've had her for about 3 months and the only other fish she has been with is a small school of columbian tetras. Is this normal cichlid behavior?...or do I just have a confused fish.

Completely normal

this is totaly normal for dwarfs and all cichlids. Eventually any well kept, happy female will lay eggs. I have a female Borelli who regularily lays eggs.
