can you keep fry with other fish around the tank

hi i am keeping my macmasteri fry with 3 females and one male at the moment the females doing a great job of protecting them but i was just wondering if this is a good idea to keep them in a tank with other fish.
well if anyone has any good advice thats useful i could use it

in a word yes though it will obviously depend on tank mates attitudes, plant cover , space etc
as to how successfully the fry may grow

i often have multiple females and multiple spawns of fry in one tank
the most predation i see is fry on smaller, newer spawns
