Hello Everyone,
I'd like to thank Ted for setting up a forum in the Trading Place for me. I'm very happy to be here and excited about the forum.
It occurs to me that I should introduce myself for those of you who don't know me. I've been an aquarium hobbyist for 38 years. My interests range from plants to cichlids to anabantoids to most other freshwater fish families. I've been keeping marine aquariums for 32 years, and have always maintained invertebrates as well as fish. I've bred well over 150 species of freshwater fish and propagated over 150 species of aquatic plants. I've spawned five species of marine fish and propagated over 20 species of invertebrates. During my 24 years working in the pet industry, I've been involved in all phases of the business, from import/wholesale to retail. I've been in store management at both independent aquatics retailers as well as several large, big box chains and served as warehouse manager and sales manager for a regional wholesale company. I have owned an aquarium shop, a small saltwater wholesale operation and several aquarium maintenance companies. I currently own and operate Anubias Design, an online retailer of aquatic plants and new, rare and interesting freshwater fishes. I am the vice president of the International Betta Congress. I am a past president of the Indianapolis Aquarium Society, and have held almost every board position at one time or another in the various clubs of which I've been a member. I have judged many shows, including an ACA Convention, and have lectured to over 30 aquarium societies in 11 states and spoken at several regional and national conventions. I have approximately 15 programs that I present to aquarium societies, so if your club is looking for speakers, have your program chairperson contact me.
