I saw some apistos marked hongsloi at a LFS they were very yellow in front of the body _but_ had strped in the cadualfin red/yellowstries with black edges.

Have hongsloi makings in the cadualfin?
Or may it be something else?

Neither A. hongsloi nor A. hoignei show a pattern in the caudal fin. A. hoignei has red and/or black top & bottom edges on the caudal. The tail of A. hongsloi is clear or yellow. If the red & black markings are on the edges of the caudal, then the fish might be A. hoignei. Without more information, I cannot say what it is.
