Saw this fish on X. To me this looks real similar to A.lineata. the third picture is my A.lineata from glaser.

I also saw a thread saying A.lineata and A.uaupesi and A.flabellicauda might be same species.
In Japan, some apisto keepers say that there are 2 types of A.lineata, which might be different species.

What's the truth of this messy classification of A.uaupesi & lineata?

The truth is that it's a mess. In particular, because the main feature used to distinguish the uapuesi-like species, i.e. their caudal pattern, can vary quite a lot 1) within a given population and 2) with the age of a specimen.

Re-designing and starting a new fish room all over again. This time we'll have many more Apistsogramma species. We are expanding.

Hi,

just in case you happen to live in Germany (or Netherlands): I have a wildcaught female A. psammophila, you could have it for free. I have no use for it anymore.
