I have seen one of what I think is one of the most beautiful fish I've ever seen. Trouble is no one so far knows nothing about them or where to find them. Anyone out there? Thanks, [email protected]
A problem with local color forms of A. bitaeniata found in relative small areas close to each other, is that nobody is able to see any differences between the females from the different locations. The fishermen collecting in that area then often mix females from the different streams; they say the females are "similare", and don't see the point in keeping them separated.
When you buy and breed them, you might experience that the offspring look quite different from the parents........
