fredmir1,

Most likely. I haven't seen them yet, but Oliver L. has a new aggie called "red blaze" (or something like that) from Tapiche.

Yes. The Rio Tapiche is a tributary of the lower Rio Ucayali that enters the Ucayali near Requena, Peru. Koslowski (2002) writes that a special form (A. cf. agassizii Pastel), according to collectors, comes from the Rio Tapiche. Your fish, however, seem to be the classic Peruvian "Red Top/Blue-White" form that years ago came in with 'Mixed Apistogramma".

Hi George,

Have you seen the ones that Oliver has?
If so, is there any difference? How are they different?
Perhaps they are both from the same collector in Peru.

Anybody got any picture of either or both agassizi?

Hi Michael

I haven`t seen the one`s from Oilver.Maybe there the same type of agasszii ?? But I know for a fact, they didn`t come from Oliver

Looks like my are spawning already

I did notice on the female, she has 1 black spot on one side of her body and on the other side of her body ,she has 2 black spots.I don`t recalled seeing this on female Apisto before
