I have been breeding these for over a year now. They breed true so it is safe to say this is a new color strain. The forehead does get very red once it is mature. Picture is a 2"+ TL male.
Another batch of Betta macrostoma is ready to leave their nest. Again, I have more males than females so I will be offering reversed trios. Pair is still available if so desire. Picture shows 2 males and 1 female. These are from WC parents. PM me for details.
I just posted a thread with pics. When I hit the "Preview Post", it came back with the following error. Even this post cannot be preview.

Most people know that a "triple red" is one with red/black pattern on all the unpaired fins. How about one with the pattern on the pelvic fins as well. Even the females show full patterns on all unpaired fins.
Since Anton lamboj through DNA analysis has indicated these two are not valid forms and he is excluding them from his reclassification of the Pel. taeniatus group, what should we do as hobbyist? I have even informed the local wholesaler not to bring in the WC specimens. I know Ted had decided...

Pelvicachromis roloffi "Kolente" F1 unsexed (Group of 6)
Congochromis sabinae F1 pairs
PM me for any question.
Interesting breeding behavior as compare to the "kolente". Also the male was constantly 'poking' his head into the cave to check on the spawn as well as picking up food and spitting into the cave just to have the female spit it back out.
On a different note, Congochromis sabinae has spawned...

I got this pair as P. taeniatus 'Kienke' wild. The male looks kind of like a 'Moliwe' while the female is definitely not a 'Moliwe' and more like a 'Kienke'.
I would like to get some opinions on this.
Thanks
