Aquatronics sells it under the name Discomed. I have used it. Powerfull stuff. It has never had problems with it affecting plants. It will kill all invertebrates!! snails, shrimp etc..

Thanks for the tips, I keep mine in roughly the same enviroment, except mine are in a 50 with small fish. Maybe just give it time I guess. Mine are roughly 4", a ten would seem a little cramp. Once I free up the 10 gallon, I will seperate them.

I have had a pair of bolivans for a while now. Lots of territory dispute but no fry. I have had kribs spawn in the same enviroment. It can be very difficult to sex young bolivans.

Congrats on your fry. I'm raising a tank of krib fry now. What I have done is take some prepared food (shrimp pellets, color bits or cichlid bites) and soak in some water. Get it all mushy, take an eyedropper a squirt it in the direction of fry. I hope this helps. It has worked for me. Good Luck
I'm still amazed at there parenting skills. they don't seem to have lost one of the fry, there is so many!! I think I'm fortunate that they are in a 50 gallon. Plenty of room for the other fish to escape too.

The fry have been free swimming for a couple of days now. It seems all tank mates are STAYING AWAY. It is amazing how good parents they are. I have decided not to move the parents. The reason being is, it seems the fry are grazing on debris on fine green algae.

I think it would be difficult(make a mess) to divide my planted tank. Could I just move fry(once free swimming) and parents to 10gal tank? If it is possible. Will the fry die due to different enviorment.
