I have a trio of Orange flash apistos in my 20 gal community. Both females have had batches of fry one or two times. Recently, I've noticed one of the female's color maturing. She almost looks like a male as her fins are bright orange like a male, but I know she is not.
I was thinking about breeding them again. I actually am raising some of the fry right now, but they are about 3 months old. Since putting them in the community tank, they have not spawned again. I've seen a little bit of flirting though.
Would isolating the male and the more mature female to a seperate tank help them to begin breeding again?
any tips would be great! I love breeding fish, and miss the thrill of seeing fry.
Thanks in advance!
