Hi,

Now I have 2 Apistogramma borellii Opal, but when they die I want to know what kind of dwarf I can keep.
I thought of a couple Laetacara, but what kind?

Tank:
Juwel Rekord 800 ( 81cm x 36cm x 39cm), about 100 liters.
Fish:
-12 Trigonostigma heteromorpha
-2 (1 male & 1 female) Apistogramma borellii Opal
-4 Otocinclus (3 macrospilus en 1 vittatus)
-6 Corydoras trilineatus

Water parameters:
-pH 6.0 to 6.5
-KH 1 to 2 (with peat it remains stable)
-GH 6
-NO² 0

The water parameters i can change with Peat(more of less peat).

Sorry for my bad english

Thanks.

Any of the smaller species of Laetacara should work well: L. araguaiae, L. curviceps, L. dorsigera, L. flammanellus. A breeding pair of Laetacara might create problems for your Corys, however. The other (large) species probably would be too large - especially if they decide to breed.

Can I buy 5 young fish so that a couple arises? Or can I buy a male + female?
Is the first option not too crowded?

Sory voor my bad english

If it were my tank, I would buy 2 fish and hope they are the same sex. You have a community tank. Why would you want to disrupt a community of peaceful fish with a breeding pair of more aggressive cichlids? If you want to breed a Laetacara then you'll have fewer problems in a breeding tank with just the pair and a few surface-dwelling fish.

I have another question, my Trigonostigma heteromorpha would prefer colder water. Can I keep the temperature of 24 degrees Celsius? Or will Laetacara curviceps / dorsigera not appreciate it?

Thanks.

What do you think of Mikrogeophagus ramirezi 'Electric Blue'? Is it easy to keep in my tank?

And another question: I change with tap water, but it is bad that the water parameters are different from those of my tap water?

aquarium:
pH 6.0 to 6.5
KH 1-2
GH 5-6

tap water:
pH around 8
KH around 7
GH around 10

I can also use less peat so that the water parameters differ less. But it is less suitable for the Ram's?
