rephrase: how low a ph is healthy for A. Cacatoides

mine are breeding in a pH of 5.5

for caca, 5.5 to 7 are all fine and they can breed in water with pH within this range

you should look at collection data for some of the amazon sites. there are regularly recorded ph's as low as 3.4 - 4 range. i believe that it is pretty much impossible to regulate ph this low in a home tank though.
