One of my blue ram tanks of juvies are finally showing color and are beginning to pair up. The kindof wierd thing is that a bunch of males in this batch have no black splotches, are very light golden colored in front, somewhat blue in the back and have very darkly colored dorsal fins. They also have the dark bands running through their red eyes. I find their shape and colors quite attractive, but they are not the gold ram morph I've seen. Are these fish in the beginning of the gold ram gene pool developement? (I don't personally like the gold morph, in my mind they look naked...) Hmm. Any ideas?
