Your unknown fish are called A. sp. Blue-head, Steel-blue, & New Blue. They are suspected to be a hybrid cross between an A. caetei-like species and an A. resticulosa-like species. You seem to have 2 males. This is not unusual since 99.99999% of all specimens appear to be males.

A. sp. Blue-head, Steel-blue, & New Blue is quite attractive. Any idea what the hybridization is between? What are the views on hybridization in the Apistogramma community? I know with bettas certain species maintaince groups don't promote it, but the results are quite interesting.

Sorry for my late response  But i can't help you,i just don't have a clue. We brought the fish back to the store where the owner still remained convinced they were steindachneri's. We replaced the fish (checking the remaining fish in the tank showed only males!) by a couple of viejita's witch if i'm not mistaken have eggs right now :p
