they are sold as apistogramma sp. opal, but they look a lot different from what i can se online.

i take what looks like a pair.

I have to say that your rather poor photos show a blue morph of A. borellii. The present-day "Opal" are A. borellii with red markings on the face and yellow on some of the body and fins. The original Opal (lost to the hobby) had green as well as red, blue and yellow.
