I'm not good at this, but both look male to me, because of the tail fin colour pattern (red edges on top and bottom), the head colours (quite a bit of red and blue markings), and the dorsal and anal fins look quite elongated (in females the end portion wouldn't extend out as much).
They are both males my friend sorry to disappoint but I would say almost definitely they are two males funnily enough I was just about to post a similar subject I'll make a new thread but check it out I have a suspicious looking macmasteri female who is massive and very feisty is starting to look a little colourful almost like a male but need a second opinion I think
If your macmasteri would have been a wild caught specimen i would have said the first one was a female. It shows black in it's ventral fins which normally in the macmasteri group indicate female. However with all these tank bred species it becomes very hard.
