This is my EBJD "smuckers" and about eight baby apistos. They are growing much bigger and faster...thought the EBJD would've eaten all of them by now.

NO...LOL! I had to move some apisto fry around and read that EBJD are somewhat less aggressive than the regular JD. So I experimented with it. Fortunately, it turned out okay...the apistos actually bred it the tank. The female was pretty small...about one inch...with about 10-15 fry...I took about 10 of them and left her with five. The peacock gudgeon in the tank eventually "stole" them from her.

They are currently in the EBJD tank still and still working out really well. THe gigantic java moss jungle do help them as they can hide when necessary. As for the EBJD, they are very docile compared to the regular JD...sometimes the EBJD will get bullied by the one inch male apisto.

sorry you feel that way. However, they are still doing great. One of the male is courting another female. They have doubled in size...except one female...she is till fairly small. I think one of the males is just pestering her.
