Apistogramma agassizii ID

It is the holotype form of A. agassizii, found from the lower Río Ucayali in Peru to the lower Rio Negro in Brazil. I have seen wild populations like your fish from several locations in Peru and Brazil. Unless you know for certain where it was collected, there is no way to honestly give it a population name. Yours might even be a domestic fish produced from a mix of specimens from widely different locations.
